HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I can’t believe it’s 2011 already! I’m so looking forward to another year! I have a feeling this is going to be a very sweet year indeed.

Is it just me, but Southern California weather is funky lately. It’s been super cold and rainy the last few weeks, but I was lucky enough to photograph Miss S right after the rain had ended. The sunlight was perfect and beautiful! So light and purrtty!! We headed to the Claremont Colleges and just roamed around documenting Miss S having some fun with the leaves. It looks like it’s fall but it’s dead winter right now. You just gotta love Cali for that!

Check out the sweet photos of Miss S below. She’s super sweet, silly, and beautiful! The camera loves her and I had a blast shooting with her and capturing her beauty.

Shooting for fun with Jen @ Cal Poly Pomona

The other day my dear friend Jennifer and I hung out. After the mall, some lunch, and some fun chit chat we ended up at my old college campus of Cal Poly Pomona. Man, I haven’t been here for years and the library looks WAY better and now there’s a real parking structure! Geez! I guess that’s where my money went. I wish i could have enjoyed these facilities when I was actually studying on campus. It would have been awesome!

In any case, Jen didn’t anticipate me doing a portrait session of her but it was fun for me to practice and just have some fun with my camera. Here are some of the fun shots I took of Jen and of the Japanese Garden on campus.

I had the pleasure of shooting my friend Karen and her family. She brought along her brother and his family as well as her parents. On top of taking some family shots, I took a few professional headshots of Karen as well. I love her beautiful red hair! It’s definitely one of my favorite features of Karen and I’m sure you will agree when looking at her headshots below.

It was a lovely day in San Juan Capistrano. A bit too bright for my liking, but nevertheless, it was a great day. I’m glad I had the opportunity to shoot Karen and her extended family. The kids were very cute and adorable. The youngest boy was extremely well behaved and smiled a whole lot. So cute!! I love when babies pose for me! =P

Catherine Guzman | Downtown Fullerton | Headshot Session

Catherine and I go way back. She was my classmate in high school. We both graduated from Bishop Amat in ’98. Yikes! I just dated myself so now everyone knows I’m about to his 30 in 2010!! lol Oh well! Part of life I suppose! I still can’t believe it’s been over 11 yrs since I graduated HS. I felt like it was just yesterday! Geez louise! *sigh* My how time flies!!

In any case, I was thrilled when Cathy saw my work via Facebook and wanted to hire me to take some headshots for her. Gotta love the power of Facebook! She’s an aspiring model and I can’t wait to see what else is in store for her. She brought along her God-daughter and she was so cute and helpful. I just had to take a few shots of her too! We decided to head to Downtown Fullerton to check out the scene. There was a lot of good backdrops and even better lighting in various alley ways. We even stumbled upon other photographers and their models along the way. I guess it’s a hot spot for taking pictures eh? =P

Sexy Sarah Photoshoot

I had a fun and long photoshoot today with the sexy Sarah. We had the pleasure of heading to Glendale and taking photos at her friends colorful home and local park. Sarah was a great model to have. So many of her pictures came out great and it’s so hard to choose which ones were better than others. In any case, I posted a few below. I still need to post some shots from Hot Import Nights, but will have to do that tomorrow or something. My clients come first. =P

Sunny California!

Today was such a lovely and HOT day here in Southern California. It was a fabulous day to take photos, but by the end of it, I was so hot, exhausted, and weak. I hope I’m not getting sick! My model, Sonia was sick but was a trooper and stuck it out. Her pictures don’t even reflect how she was actually feeling. The photos were taken at various places at UCLA. What a beautiful campus! Here are some shots from today. More to come…
