Miss Madeline

I have been super duper busy the last few days! I just purchased a brand new 2010 Prius and I’m so in love! I have been wanting a hybrid car for such a long time and I’m so glad that I finally got one. It’s such a fun car to drive with fun buttons to push! haha And I’m also pretty proud to sport a car that is less harmful to the environment. Every little bit helps right?

In any case, I got a lot of weddings and family sessions coming up the next few weeks. It’s the busy summer season I suppose and I love it! So please check back fairly regularly because I got a lot of upcoming fun sessions in store for ya!

Here are a few of my personal favorites from my last baby session with Miss Madeline. She is such a cutie!!

This picture is ADORABLE!! It makes me giggle!

The importance of a photo album

I cannot stress how important it is to have an awesome album! Think about it….You finally decide to do a photo session (whether it be engagement, wedding, or family) where you look your best, feel your best, and you have some AMAZING photos that you want all you family and friends to see. But what do you do with all the great pictures you now have? My solution: an album!

I ain’t going to lie to you, albums are not cheap. But I have to stress how awesome they truly are. It’s so important to show off the beautiful images you just took. You should be proud and show people and say “Dude, I felt like a model and look that’s me!” It’s not like the old days where you print a picture and stick it to an album and that’s it. Albums nowadays are so impressive. They come in an array of colors, options, and sizes. They layout is perfectly hand-created to show off your photos. And the entire album itself tells a story about who you are!

I recently made this boudoir album for a client of mine. The one shown below is an 8×8 album. This is a great simple and affordable album that can be transformed into a baby’s first year album or an engagement album or a parent album.

Check it out and if you have any additional questions or would like more information, feel free to drop me a note!

Super thick pages!

I ADORE flush-mounted albums. They lay flat with no unwanted creases in the middle to ruin the beautiful image!

Quyen and Dan Engagement Session | Huntington Library | San Marino, CA

This past weekend I had back to back sessions. I’ve been super busy with all kinds of fun sessions as well as finishing up some lovely albums for a few clients. Summer time is usually my busy season and I can’t complain.

Quyen and Dan wanted to shoot at the Huntington Library. It was another first for me. I obviously live under a rock because there’s tons of places I haven’t been to yet and I’ve lived in Cali my whole life! This was a fabulous place with so much beauty. I’m really glad I had the opportunity to come and check out this place.  I’ll drag my boyfriend, Hao, one of these days to go back and roam around. We love walking and people watching!

In any case, I had a blast hanging out with Quyen and Dan. It was so nice to catch up and hear about their upcoming wedding plans (which I’ll be shooting later this October…yay!). Also, when we first got there and I was trying to direct them how to be comfortable in front of the camera and “pose”, Quyen mentioned how much she trusts my direction and suggestions. From that point on, my job suddenly became easier. I love when clients give me 100% trust and confidence. It only makes me even more comfortable to know that I can be as creative as I want which ultimately creates the best pictures! Thanks Quyen and I hope you love your pictures as much as I loved shooting it!

Here are some of my personal favorites from Quyen and Dan’s engagement session! Enjoy and spread the love everyone!!

Quyen – I love this picture of you! So pretty!

I love me some laying down grass shots! Geez Dan….I really want your beautiful blue eyes!!! =)

GORGEOUS!:)

Sarina Love Letter #7

Being an only child, you have some ups and downs. For instance, one of the biggest perks is getting all the attention and love from your parents. I never had to worry about that. I always felt like the favorite since it was just me. I also didn’t have to share any of my Nintendo games, computer time, or television time. I loved it! I never felt as if I needed a sibling, but as I grew older and took on more responsibilities as an adult, I sometimes wished I had an older brother or sister to help guide me or give me advice. Actually, maybe I’m being selfish but I just want one to hang out with from time to time and share secrets with. I envy those who are so close with their siblings. It’s a bond I can’t experience but it’s all good. I have some awesome cousins to make up for it!

Just wanted to share my perspective and remind you all to cherish those around you. Family is so wonderful and so unique. I’ve met so many wonderful families through my profession as a Photographer and I’m always so happy to see them interact with one another and just be themselves and have fun! Capturing moments you’ll remember forever.

Here is my favorite picture from my latest session….too cute!!!

Adorable Allie

Where do I begin to describe baby Allie?

First off, she is adorable!!! Secondly, she is not shy with posing for the cameras. When shooting babies, I often find it so difficult to get their attention. Sometimes you just want them to look at your camera lens just a few times to get that special shot and it takes a long time to finally get them to look at you for more than 1 second. But, baby Allie was so easy to call and get her attention. Not to mention she nearly smiled on demand each time! She made my job super easy!

I love working with babies. You can’t go wrong with a cute smile, chubby cheeks, and an adorable outfit!  Sessions like these make me love my job because I get play with cute kids that make you remember that life is so precious and beautiful!

Now here’s baby Allie and her awesome modeling debut!  =P

Check out Allie’s awesome 80s legwarmers! She’s such a fashionista and she doesn’t even know it yet!

Allie is so not camera shy. She loved posing and playing with the camera!

Great job. True story telling, the work of an artist. The colors, composition, framing. Simply superb! Can’t wait to see the wedding photos.
