In any case, I’m going to keep this short and simple since I’m busy. I got some “news” to share next week but for now enjoy these beautiful images of Lynn and Brendon. What a beautiful couple and a beautiful beach wedding!

WEDDING SLIDESHOW!!!!

First off, these two adore Scrabble and you can see elements of Scrabble throughout their wedding. It was ingenious! Christine is also a lover of all things dessert (such as I am!) and she just started her own bakery business. To show off her love for dessert, she showcased them off in her own dessert table. But she baked ALL the desserts herself just days before her wedding for all her guests to devour. O-M-G that must have taken a ton of work! Much props to her! They were delicious, cute, and simply amazing.

The wedding went smoothly with lots of dancing and fun music (they played BSB and NKOTB – some of the bride’s fave music) …. wait….did I mention it was also MY favorite too??? Damn! I was dancing and singing along as I was taking pictures. I can’t help it!

Anyways, here are some of the wonderful moments captured on Christine and Brian’s special day. Love you guys! I wish you two nothing but the best!

When they initially told me they’d love me to have me document their wedding, I was so honored. I’ve never had the pleasure of documenting another colleagues’ wedding before. I personally take this as a very nice compliment that my own peers trust me and like my work enough to hire me for their own wedding. I am so deeply grateful to be a part of their beautiful wedding.

Tracy and Cameron’s wedding was simply them. Tracy put a lot of her heart and soul into the wedding with lots of beautiful DIY touches. Their vows to one another was the highlight of the entire wedding. They both cried unexpectedly. I think the entire room had tears after hearing their touching vows to one another. It was ever so sweet! But it wasn’t all tears, there were so many smiles and laughter throughout the wedding. Tracy and Cam even stopped during the ceremony to pose for me to show off their new wedding bands! HILARIOUS! These two are silly and I loved every minute of it!

The day went off without a hitch and these two are finally husband and wife! I’m so happy for Tracy and Cam! Thank you again for trusting me, being my friends, and simply being you. You guys are amazing and I wish you nothing but the best. Have fun in Hawaii! LOVE YOU GUYS!!! *hugs*

Every guests received a “key” and once they arrived at their table, they received a “lock” that matches it. So unique!!

So I wanted to take the time to kind of give my 2cents on what it actually takes to get published. Hopefully it opens your eyes and mind and gives you a different perspective on wedding publication.

Details! Details! Details!
The more details there are, the better your chances on getting published! Details such as flowers, shoes, wedding dress are all fine and dandy. They are the staple of any wedding. But the details I’m referring to, are taking it to a whole other level. We’re talking about the details that makes YOUR wedding different than another wedding. Think about it, why do you go onto these sites in the first place? It’s because you are looking for inspirational ideas and you look to find unique details on which you can implement in your own wedding. So if you want to get published, you will need to have inspirational details that other brides will want to “ooo and ahh”.

Unique Theme
You don’t have to have a vintage theme or a rustic theme to get published ya know? Although, I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt either. I’m not gonna lie, it’s an ever growing trend right now to have a “vintage” wedding or a “rustic” wedding, but that doesn’t mean a traditional wedding can’t be published. You just have to find ways to make your wedding unique to you.  Your standard wedding with lush flowers and great lighting is just one step in the right direction. Why not have a polka dot themed wedding? Or a vintage Hollywood glam wedding? Or a modern art-deco wedding? Whatever it is, just have fun with it and go all out!

Popular Vendors
I used to work for the entertainment industry and the one thing I learned, it’s who you know. Using popular wedding vendors that you see on the blogs, can significantly help your chances of getting published.

Planning and Designing
At the end of the day, you don’t have to get published to have a memorable wedding. But for those of you who hope and dream to one day have your wedding published on a famous wedding blog or even in a magazine, then you have to really take the your creativity and design to the next level. It might help to hire a stylist or an amazing wedding coordinator to help create your dream wedding or be an amazing DIY stylist. Either way, it’s a lot of planning, thought, and creativity involved. But you can totally do it and I urge everyone to think outside of the box! Weddings are fun and I think every bride should let her creativity flow when it comes to her wedding.  You can have a circus theme for goodness sakes! Just vamp it up and have fun with it!

From a photographer’s point of view, I highly suggest communicating your hopes of being published to your photographer. Having this open discussion will help your photographer know what you value most and do his/her best to photograph it in a way that will help your chances of getting published. But of course, nothing is ever a sure shot. Wedding blogs are getting pickier and pickier and it’s become even more difficult to be featured on the majorly popular sites. But it’s not impossible! Just be creative, have fun, and work with your vendors to make it happen. I’m sure it’s just as rewarding for them as it is for you. Who doesn’t want to be featured?! Seriously, it’s a major honor and I love having the bragging rights!

In any case, a few months ago, I had the pleasure of second shooting for Heidi Ryder. Well, the wedding I shot with her was featured on Green Wedding Shoes recently! Check out the feature below! Some of my images were also showcased.

Now here are a few of my favorite images from that wedding. Check out the AMAZING details this couple had at their wedding. The bride, Veronica, had a strong vision and with the proper team in place she really brought her vision to life. This is a prime example of a very detailed-heavy wedding with a unique modern theme.

Luckily, Dara and Cody decided to have their wedding here in sunny So.Cal.  It was a beautiful and very warm summer day. The skies were extra blue which is so heavenly! I also have to personally give a shoutout to Dara and Cody’s bridal entourage who were one of the cutest, most helpful, and fun groups! At one point, the groomsmen kept wanting me to drink with them and I never drink on the job. Somehow I got out of it by giggling and saying “later I will..” Later never really happened, but I’m sure if I bumped into one of them in the future, they will remember and remind me that I still owe them a drink! Thanks guys for trying though!! It was a valiant effort!!
