Back to back to back blog postings y’all! I’m on a roll! *pats myself on the back*

I’ve been in crazy work mode the last few weeks and I’m loving every minute of it. 2012 is really off to a great start!

Now check out Collin and his parents. His mom, Ellie, and I go way back! We are High School buds. GO LANCERS c/o ’98!!!!

I swear I sometimes feel like High School was just yesterday. Now, everyone is getting married or having kids. Where did time fly?!?! But I am so happy and proud of Ellie. She has always been so sweet and smart so I’m so happy to see all these good things happening to her. *hugs Ellie!* Your son is adorable!!

San Dimas Family Session

I have so much blogging to do it’s ridiculous! But that just means I have a ton of wonderful sessions to showcase the next several weeks! Not to mention…big news to share VERY soon!! BIG BIG NEWS!!

In any case, here is Sawyer! I love his name!! I never met anyone named Sawyer and I always thought it was such a unique name to have. Melisa and Robert are the proud parents of young Sawyer. He is their pride and joy and he is adorable as can be. Melisa and Robert are also planning a wonderful wedding this fall in Maui which I will be documenting. Melisa and Robert are uber creative and I just know they are going to really make this wedding memorable for all her family and friends. I can’t wait!

Orange Circle | Maternity Session

I’m at a loss for words! I had the pleasure of spending time with this beautiful and growing family. Aimee is a fellow Yelper like me and actually stumbled upon me via Yelp. Gotta love Yelp! I use it all the time and it never fails me. In any case, we decided to just walk around the Orange Circle area which is filled with lovely brick walls, cute Americana streets, and a fun train station. Aimee is due in just another 2 weeks and it’s another boy! I can’t wait to meet the little guy. They are a wonderful, happy, and loving family and I am so lucky to got the chance to meet them and capture them. Congrats on the new baby! He’s so lucky to have a family like yourselves.

Now check out the family pictures below. The light was amazing. I probably could shoot all day if the light was like this everyday! I am kinda in love with flares so if there’s a chance for a pretty flare, I’m going to try and get it. It’s just so glowy and beautiful, just like Aimee! Enjoy the pictures everyone!

Long Beach Harbor Lighthouse | Family Session

California has been really lovely lately. If anyone knows me I hate it when it’s WAY too hot. I love a little chill and a little sun. It’s just perfect weather for me. It has been so beautiful here in California and I am loving all the photo opportunities lately such as the wonderful family session with The Lee Family. We headed to the Long Beach Harbor Lighthouse to enjoy the beautiful weather and scenic backdrops. Their daughter Mary is almost 2 years old and a happy, playful, and silly little girl. She loved playing with her tons, running around, and posing for the camera. She’s adorable!! I had a wonderful time with Mary and her parents! Here’s a few snaps from our fun morning at the harbor…enjoy!!

Children Portraits | Baby Sage

When I first meet a baby, my initial job is to try and get the comfortable with me. I bring toys if I have to, I tickle them, I try to make them laugh. Well, that didn’t really work when I met Sage. As soon as I tried to touch her tiny little hand just to say “Hi!”, I shocked her! I literally shocked her! I sent some static shock to her cute little hands and freak’n scared the heck out of her. I was scared too! Here I am, trying to get her comfortable with me and now I just scared her! Oh boy! Well, after apologizing profusely to Sage, I think she eventually forgave and forgot and starting enjoying smiling in front of the camera. *phew*

Last July, I had the pleasure of shooting Jason and Angelica’s Maternity session. Well, I’m happy to report that baby Sage was born last September (actually she share’s the birthday with my boyfriend, Hao!) and she is a happy and healthy baby! I had such a fun time shooting Sage. She was such a good little model! She could sit up, she didn’t really move much, and she loved to smile and give cute faces to the camera. It made my job 10 times easier! And check out her adorable cheeks!! Oh my goodness, I resisted the urge to pinch them, since I’m sure she’s going to experience that a lot for the next several years….=P

Santa Ana Zoo | Children Portraits

I had the pleasure of shooting Zoe who I’ve been shooting since she was a baby. She’s grown so much now and I can’t believe it! She’s already running, talking, and has a mind of her own. She’s adorable! We headed to Santa Ana Zoo for a day in the park and it was such a lovely session. I have never been to this zoo before and was quite amazed at how large the zoo actually was. It’s a great place to go and check out if your ever in the area!

Family Disneyland Day!

I’m so behind in my blogging! please forgive me y’all! I’ve been super busy with all kinds of stuff such as an editorial shoot, client meetings, personal family events, and other randomness I’ll share another day. But look out for some awesomeness in the next few weeks. I have some major stuff to share and I can’t wait!

In the meantime, I recently purchased a brand new 35mm 1.4 L Lens. I was so excited to use it, that I decided to take some fun test shots at Disneyland the other day when hanging out with my boyfriend’s nieces and nephews. Dude, this lens is sweet! I just love the bokeh (aka: creamy blur-ish background) as well as it’s tack sharp image. The colors are amazing too! Take a glance at a few random shots taken on my recent trip to Disneyland (aka….my second home)!!

Tina and David | Maternity Session | Lacy Park

The weather has been super funky here in So.Cal lately. A week ago it was raining and cold and today it’s freak’n 90s! Yesterday, was a HOT day but it was also a very pretty day! The sun was shining and it felt like summer. It’s kinda nice to have summer weather in November. Only in Cali!!

Tina was a good sport to brave the heat yesterday too. Tina is pregnant with her first child and IT’S A GIRL!!! Tina is the owner and creator of In The Clouds Events. If you need a wedding coordinator, Tina is your girl! When she had asked me to do her maternity session, I was so happy! I was more happy just to hear she was preggie! It’s such an exciting time for her and her husband, David. I’m sure their baby girl is gonna be ADORABLE! Congrats again you guys!! Thanks for braving the heat with me!

I truly believe people underestimate a good maternity session. Your only pregnant a few times in your life and I think it’s pretty important to document it. Embrace the fact that your beautiful and pregnant! It’s such a happy and exciting time in your life!
