Napa Valley | The Kang Family

I had the pleasure of documenting The Kang family a few weeks ago in the heart of Napa, CA. It was actually my first time visiting Napa and it was so beautiful. Tons of scenic areas every where you turned. It was a hot and warm day but the light was magical and The Kangs were such a delight to photograph. The Kangs actually live bi-coastal from Hawaii to NYC and everywhere in between. They wanted to properly celebrate their dad’s 70th birthday and decided to do a family reunion in Napa with safaris, wine tasting, eating, shopping, and sightseeing.

South Coast Botanic Garden | Maternity Session

*sigh* I love when I get to work with previous clients over and over again. When I first started, Jennifer and Kerry hired me to shoot their Trash the Dress session at the beach and it was a pretty difficult session for us both with the water and wind. I was still fairly new at what I was doing but somehow it all worked out for us both. The pictures came out beautiful and we kept in touch via Facebook. I love Facebook! It’s one of the best tools for me when keeping in touch with my clients, family, and friends. So a few years has passed and now they are expecting their first child together! She’s due any day now actually! During our sessions, I am always so cautious of making sure she was feeling ok and that I wasn’t tiring her out too much. Her comfort comes first! But the maternity session was a success. Such great light, such a beautiful environment, and of course a lovely couple and baby bump. Congratulations you two! Thank you for another opportunity to photograph you two. I can’t wait to meet the little one!!

San Dimas Family Session | Baby Luca

I love baby names! I secretly already have potential baby names for my future kids. SHHH! I know, it’s bad! But I love baby names and the more unique, the better! I never met a “Luca” before and now that I have, I think it’s adorable! Baby Luca is so cute and super photogenic! He did so well in the photo session. He smiles, he looks in the camera, and he sits still! What more could I ask for???

San Dimas Children Session

Over the past weekend, I had the pleasure of shooting some adorable girls! 3 of them are the daughters of Flo and Mark. Flo is one of the owners of Swurlz Cupcakes who also did the amazing cake and cupcakes for my Season Premiere party of Worst Cooks in America party.

While I was shooting these fun-loving gals, I couldn’t help wishing I had sisters growing up. I’m an only child and I always wanted siblings to hang out with. I can only imagine all the mischievous fun these will all have when they become teenagers!! hahaha I can’t wait!

I’ve been in crazy work mode the last few weeks and I’m loving every minute of it. 2012 is really off to a great start!

Now check out Collin and his parents. His mom, Ellie, and I go way back! We are High School buds. GO LANCERS c/o ’98!!!!

I swear I sometimes feel like High School was just yesterday. Now, everyone is getting married or having kids. Where did time fly?!?! But I am so happy and proud of Ellie. She has always been so sweet and smart so I’m so happy to see all these good things happening to her. *hugs Ellie!* Your son is adorable!!

I have so much blogging to do it’s ridiculous! But that just means I have a ton of wonderful sessions to showcase the next several weeks! Not to mention…big news to share VERY soon!! BIG BIG NEWS!!

In any case, here is Sawyer! I love his name!! I never met anyone named Sawyer and I always thought it was such a unique name to have. Melisa and Robert are the proud parents of young Sawyer. He is their pride and joy and he is adorable as can be. Melisa and Robert are also planning a wonderful wedding this fall in Maui which I will be documenting. Melisa and Robert are uber creative and I just know they are going to really make this wedding memorable for all her family and friends. I can’t wait!

Orange Circle | Maternity Session

I’m at a loss for words! I had the pleasure of spending time with this beautiful and growing family. Aimee is a fellow Yelper like me and actually stumbled upon me via Yelp. Gotta love Yelp! I use it all the time and it never fails me. In any case, we decided to just walk around the Orange Circle area which is filled with lovely brick walls, cute Americana streets, and a fun train station. Aimee is due in just another 2 weeks and it’s another boy! I can’t wait to meet the little guy. They are a wonderful, happy, and loving family and I am so lucky to got the chance to meet them and capture them. Congrats on the new baby! He’s so lucky to have a family like yourselves.

Now check out the family pictures below. The light was amazing. I probably could shoot all day if the light was like this everyday! I am kinda in love with flares so if there’s a chance for a pretty flare, I’m going to try and get it. It’s just so glowy and beautiful, just like Aimee! Enjoy the pictures everyone!

Long Beach Harbor Lighthouse | Family Session

California has been really lovely lately. If anyone knows me I hate it when it’s WAY too hot. I love a little chill and a little sun. It’s just perfect weather for me. It has been so beautiful here in California and I am loving all the photo opportunities lately such as the wonderful family session with The Lee Family. We headed to the Long Beach Harbor Lighthouse to enjoy the beautiful weather and scenic backdrops. Their daughter Mary is almost 2 years old and a happy, playful, and silly little girl. She loved playing with her tons, running around, and posing for the camera. She’s adorable!! I had a wonderful time with Mary and her parents! Here’s a few snaps from our fun morning at the harbor…enjoy!!
