Disneyland Engagement | Marion and Brian

Marion and Brian are a wonderful couple!! I spent the day with them at Disneyland where Brian proposed to her. It was a pretty crazy and crowded day but we made the most out of it and had a ton of fun. They are one of the nicest couples EVER!! They are so sweet, they even gave me cupcakes and a disney vinylmation as a thank you gift! You guys really didn’t have to but thank you so much for your sweet gesture!!! It totally made my day!

They are so sweet together and I can’t imagine a more perfect couple. Enjoy the fun pictorials of their Disneyland adventure!

This is totally one of my favorite Disney shots! It’s way too cute and fun! I love it!

Santa Monica Engagement | Lynn and Ken

I haven’t blogged in over 2 weeks!!! What is wrong with me people?!

In all honesty, I’ve been crazy busy with engagement sessions so expect a ton of blog postings coming your way very soon!

Meet Lynn and Ken…..they have a love for baking, Farmer’s Market, and each other! They are goofy and sweet with one another. It’s just too cute! These two are actually from Vancouver and they flew to So.Cal to shoot their engagement session. How cool is that? I spent the afternoon with them at the Santa Monica’s Farmer’s market and beach. I haven’t been here in a while so I felt somewhat of a tourist myself. It was great to walk around and just enjoy the beach atmosphere.

Newport Beach Engagement | Deanna and Kiet

One word: RAIN!!!

The one word no photographer or couple wants to hear when it’s time to shoot their engagement session or wedding. Trust me, it’s definitely not ideal conditions but it’s also not the end of the world. I’ve learned to roll with the punches and make the most out of it. Luckily, Deanna and Kiet were willing to take the adventure with me.

We decided to go to a nearby hotel and take some shots and hope the rain stopped long enough for us to go get some outside shots. Well, Mother Nature gave us a break and we immediately rushed to the marina to get some shots at Kiet’s boat. We quickly got the shots we needed and then it started to rain again! *phew*

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

We got what we needed. Granted, we had to hurry and rush but we worked it out and everything turned out marvelously!

Disneyland Engagement | Ilona and Erwin

Ahh my first blog of 2012! I have quite a few Disneyland engagement sessions this coming year and here is the first of many. Ilona and Erwin are actually big Disney fans and they have decided to have their wedding there this coming April. These two are adorable and sweet! We decided to head to Disneyland for the recent Christmas holidays. I love Disneyland during the holidays. It’s extra magical during this time of the year!! Ilona and Erwin even gave me the sweetest Christmas gift – a Mickey Mouse chef’s apron!! I will be sporting this while I cook! Thank you guys for the thoughtful gift.

Now enjoy their cuteness below!! Love you guys!! I can hardly wait for April now!! yay!

Santa Clarita Engagement | Lisa and Jim

AHHHH! It feels oh so good to be back!!!

I have been MIA and although it was nice and refreshing, it feels super awesome to be back home and do my normal routines. I missed my family, friends, and my work. Lisa and Jim were my first couple I shot since coming back and we had an amazing time shooting in Santa Clarita. The location they found was perfect and the sun peaked out just long enough for me to get some beautiful shots of the happy couple. I simply cannot wait to shoot their wedding in May at the Walnut Grove in Moorpark. Such an adorable venue for an adorable couple!

Check out their loveliness and ooo and ahhh as much as you want because the scenery and colors are so breathtaking! Lisa and Jim did a great job incorporating elements of props that were very personal to them. Check out the exquisite quilt at the end of the blog! Lisa’s grandmother handmade that quilt! It’s beautiful!

Lisa’s dad fixed up this old motorbike. Their family name is NORMAN and it was such a wonderful idea to use this motorbike as a prop. It’s so vintage and oh so cool!!

Pasadena Engagement | Monica and Aaron

I’m excited to showcase Monica and Aaron’s Pasadena Engagement session! These two are actually getting married in Hawaii THIS WEEKEND!!! So it’s only fitting that I showcase their wonderful engagement session today.

Aaron is an old friend of me. We went to High School together. So when him and his fiance reached out to me to photograph them, I was so honored and so excited. Monica – I love your style! You look amazing! Congratulations you two!

Las Vegas Engagement | Ilona and Erwin

VIVA LAS VEGAS!

Anyone who reads my blog knows how much I love Disneyland, but Vegas is like the adult Disneyland for me. I love love love Vegas! So much to do and the town never sleeps! It’s my kinda town that’s for sure and apparently Ilona and Erwin agree with me because we decided to head to Sin City to take some engagement shots. We started the day far aways from the strip in some old deserted location. Then we of course had to get some fun Vegas strip shots. It was a fun filled day for us all! I even dragged my boyfriend, Hao, to come with me. He always assumes my job is so easy but after helping me and seeing me work, he realized it’s not as easy as he thought. He was so pooped and he wasn’t even the one shooting! haha

Anyways, here are some of the lovely shots taken of Ilona and Erwin! Make sure to check back in a few more months when we head to Disneyland for another session! Thanks again you two! I can’t wait to hang out again very soon…..Hao and I had so much fun spending the day with you two! You guys are so sweet and adorable!

Anniversary Love Session | Patty and Chris

Happy 1st Anniversary to Patty + Chris!

These 2 lovebirds wanted to do something special for their anniversary and decided to do a love session together! They love the outdoors and it worked out perfectly for these two. It rained on their actual wedding day last year and they really wanted to capture more pictures of themselves in their wedding attire so this was a great opportunity for them to get back into their wedding outfits and capture more moments. A lot couples mention to me how they wish they had more time to get more photographs of themselves on their wedding day. The wedding day goes by SUPER FAST! So doing another portrait session is a really great idea. You’re more relaxed and there’s less of a time constraint.

In any case, enjoy the cuteness of Patty and Chris as they celebrate their 1st Anniversary as husband and wife!! CONGRATS!!

They decided to use ONE balloon to represent their 1st year as a married couple. They plan on adding balloons to their pictures every year moving forward!

LA County Fair Engagement Session | Chelle and Ken: Part 2

I’m happy to showcase PART 2 of Chelle and Ken’s fun engagement session. We decided to head to the local LA County Fair and enjoy a silly and fun-filled afternoon playing games, going on a few rides, and of course eating all the yummy fair foods!! When I initially met Chelle and Ken months back they mentioned how they wanted a “colorful” location. I immediately thought about doing it at the fair. I’ve been wanting to shoot there for quite some time but it only occurs one month out of the year so it just some how never worked out time-wise. So I’m so glad it worked out. We had a blast shooting around. I’m not going to lie, it was challenging at times. It was so chaotic and populated, but somehow we made it work with a little persistence, patience, and simply a positive attitude about it all. Chelle and Ken were troopers and had a big smile on their faces the whole time. They were just two lovebirds having fun and enjoying the whole day while I snapped away. It was great!

I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next June 2012! Until then, enjoy the adorably joyous pictorials of the happy couple!! SPREAD THE LOVE EVERYONE!

School Theme Engagement Session | Chelle and Ken: Part 1

Ken and Chelle met in High School. Ken went to an all boys school and Chelle went to an all girls school. They were acquaintances in High School actually. It’s not like they had any classes together or anything. But once in a while both schools had joint events where they would meet one another and hang out. Chelle wasn’t originally interested in Ken. But that didn’t stop Ken from trying. But somehow with some persistence on Ken’s side, they slowly became friends which eventually turned into love and the rest is history. I would like to share part 1 of Chelle and Ken’s engagement session. We started the day by doing a “school” theme and almost reliving how it all went down. They even brought back some of their old uniforms for the engagement session. Loved it! Way too cute! I love how this session tells the story about how their relationship began. Check back next week when I showcase part 2 of this fun and adorable engagement session. Chelle and Ken go on a fun date at the County Fair!
