My boyfriend Hao and I went to the market today. That’s very unusual for me since I’m not really a cook…yet! I stress the word “yet” because I am slowly trying to learn how to cook so that one day when I marry and have kids I can at least cook a decent meal for the family. =P So we were at the market and we saw a bag of potatoes and I was like, “mmm I am craving Meat Lover’s Skillet from Dennys!”. That’s both our favorite meals to get when we go there. Then, I suggested we just make our own meat lover’s skillet! Hao agreed and thought it’d be a fun activity to do tonight. So we bought what we needed and went home.
We cooked our version of Meat Lover’s skillet but used healthier ingredients. For example, instead of using bacon and sausage we used turkey bacon and turkey sausage! After cooking for a good 20-30 minutes (I think!), we finally ate and I just had to take a picture to document the delicious food we made.
After dinner, my mom told us that she just bought the Magic Bullet. It’s one of those As Seen on TV things. Normally, I get super irritated that she wastes her money on all these infomercial crap, but for some reason the Magic Bullet sparked some interest in me. Hao and I decided to take a step further and create some healthy fruit smoothies. We threw in bananas, pineapples, strawberries, yogurt, a bit of milk, and crushed ice and out came a delicious fruit smoothie! My mom and grandma loved it! Again, I had to document it just for the sake of documentation because I’m weird like that. But I just had to share our little creation. Of course, I had to drink my smoothie in my Mickey glass. You know how I love Disney oh so much!! Enjoy!!
