Since I adore Totally Rad and their actions, I just had to apply as well! I love applying for various contests and regardless if I win or lose, I figure if I apply for a billion contests, I’m bound to win at least ONE right?! LOL
Actually, I already won a contest back in the day. Maybe about 5 years ago, our local radio station, KIISFM, has various contests all the time. Well, as I was driving to work one morning they were giving away free TIVO for LIFE! Funny thing was, I was just about to purchase a TIVO. So I called in the radio station right away to give it a shot. It rang!! It actually rang!! And someone actually answered! It was Ryan Seacrest and he sang some song and I had to finish the lyric. I’m normally pretty good at this because I love pop music, but he ended up singing some rap song that was pretty new at the time and I had no idea what song this was. Luckily for me, he sang the chorus and I kinda just listened very intently on that and when he suddenly stopped, I kinda just repeated what he said seconds ago. VOILA! I won!! I couldn’t believe it! Lifetime TIVO dude! YES! And to top it off, I get to work and everyone at work already left me voice mails that they heard me on the radio!! They all said they didn’t know any other Sarina from West Covina who had such a distinctive voice such as myself. HAHA That was a cool day!
Anyways, just had to share that story with y’all.
